We started this charity in memory of some special little people...
Maisie
Our little Maisie was born at 34 weeks gestation, along with her twin sister Charlotte. Maisie was diagnosed with CDH and severe IUGR in utero. She had many diagnosis' post birth including CLD, pulmonary hypoplasia, an ASD and pulmonary hypertension.
Maisie fought hard in NICU&PICU for 6 months before joining the angels.
Teddy
Our tiny Teddy was born at 28 weeks gestation, after a few months of in utero complications. At 20 weeks gestation it was picked up that Teddy had severe IUGR. He had many diagnosis' post birth including CLD, severe metabolic bone disease, a PDA and pulmonary hypertension. Teddy spent nearly 3 months in NICU before joining the angels.
Autumn
Autumn was born at 34 weeks gestation, due to IUGR and lack of blood flow from the placenta. She spent 9 days in the neonatal unit for feeding and growing, leaving the hospital with her only health issue being a heart murmur. 87 days later Autumn fell asleep for the very last time, unexpectedly.
What we do
At Sunshine and Rain Foundation, we are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those in need. We as families who have been through hard times, have come together to support other families experiencing pregnancy loss, life changing diagnosis in pregnancy, TFMR, prematurity, NICU, children with ongoing complex health needs,, children with life limiting conditions and infant/child loss.
